The dining room was once two rooms; an original sitting room and a scullery. You can still see the hooks from which meat would have been hung to cure. The stairs used to be directly in front of the front door but they’ve now been moved along the back wall. The room features original slate floors, a very rare occurance and apart from the door knocked through into the new kitchen, the shape has remained the same. This room contains the oldest door in the property, thought to be an original from the 16th century.
Lets move on to the kitchen.
